The U.S. Board of Directors
The U.S. Board of Director’s primary role is to advocate and fundraise for the orphaned children of the Okari School. The members currently live in all parts of the United States and bring with them the ability to care and all share a vision for improving the lives of the Okari School children.
Our board members each need to give or get $5,000 USD per year. They can certainly procure more, but this is a minimum. What is interesting—and ever-inspiring—is that everyone does it. Many of our board members are recent college graduates or college students who are global thinkers. Our fundraisers are creative and inspiring, and for the most part, it all amounts to a lot of a littles. The proof points are powerful; we have witnessed some incredibly generous people. In Kenya, your dollar goes a long way, and we guarantee that it gets there and serves the children as it was intended. The board members who are not recent grads are collaborative thinkers with colorful and diverse skill sets and job titles ranging from the unemployment line to the CFO of a corporation.
